Joe and Tiffany. Where do I even start with these two? I loved this whole day... which is saying a lot because shooting a wedding with a sprained ankle is no joke. They are just that amazing. Thoughtful, genuine, fun, and easy on the eyes... that's Joe and Tiffany :)

The day started with a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. Tiffany was so beautiful in her red dress:

After the tea ceremony Tiffany changed into her white dress...

tranweddingblog06.jpgtranweddingblog07.jpg
Tiffany's mom made the jewelry. I love little personal touches like that :)

tranweddingblog08.jpg
Gloves!!! My favorite part of Tiffany's outfit.

tranweddingblog09.jpgtranweddingblog10.jpg
My lovely assistant captured these photos of Joe getting ready:

tranweddingblog11.jpgtranweddingblog12.jpg
The ceremony was in a beautiful old church...

Husband and wife!!!

tranweddingblog18.jpgtranweddingblog19.jpgtranweddingblog20.jpg
Tiffany and Joe are both architects that chose this church because of the beautiful main entrance... I loved all the crazy shadows!

tranweddingblog21.jpgtranweddingblog22.jpgtranweddingblog23.jpgtranweddingblog24.jpgtranweddingblog25.jpg
Before the reception Tiffany and Joe scheduled a little time to be alone with one another at a nearby park. Of course I had to sneak a couple shots in...

tranweddingblog26.jpgtranweddingblog27.jpg
The ceremony details were all DIY and filled with fun little touches like vases made from wine bottles and cork coasters for favors.

tranweddingblog28.jpgtranweddingblog29.jpgtranweddingblog30.jpg
Their first dance song is one of my favorites. Be sure to click the slideshow below to hear it... it's the 3rd song :)

tranweddingblog31.jpg
Outdoor receptions = amazing light!

tranweddingblog32.jpg
I love when a bride and groom actually dance with each other at the reception :)

Bret and Meg got married and it was pretty much awesome.

From their fun little decor touches to their quirky, heartfelt ceremony I loved every minute of the wedding and I feel safe in saying their guests did too. It's weddings like this that make me feel lucky to have the job that I do :)

The day started as most do with all the VIP's helping the bride and groom get ready. Meg's dress was sooo pretty! I love all the soft layers...

condon_wedding_0050-2web.jpg
Meg was so calm and collected...

condon_wedding_0065-2web.jpgcondon_wedding_0070bwweb.jpg
Their suite at the Brea Embassy Suites had the most beautiful windows... I could have shot in front of them all day.

One of my favorites of the day:

condon_wedding_0123-2web.jpg
The guys have it so easy... they're dressed in all of 15 minutes!

condonwedding1.jpg
Look! Pretty ladies!

condon_wedding_0165-2web.jpg
I'm amazed I got such a serious photo out of these funny guys...

Spring is such a beautiful time to get married... the light and the colors are perfect:

condon_wedding_0331-2web.jpg
Bret was all smiles, I loved it!

condon_wedding_0342-2web.jpgcondon_wedding_0369-2web.jpg
Since Bret and Meg decided to keep to the tradition of seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony, we did their romantic photos during cocktail hour... this next one is another of my favorites. The late afternoon light was amazing.

condon_wedding_0473-2web.jpg
Paul, from Boffo Video, brought along this ampersand and was kind enough to let me snag it for a shot...

The dance party was definitely fun :)

January 14, 2013

My last wedding of 2012 was sooooo much fun! Nick and Jen did an amazing job keeping everyone (as well as each other) smiling with little surprises, amazing food, and great music. I couldn't have asked for a better end to my wedding season :)

Here is Jen's beautiful dress:

pueblaweddingblog01.jpg
Jen is a hairstylist so her hair was nothing short of perfect. I especially love the blue streaks :)

pueblaweddingblog02.jpgpueblaweddingblog03.jpgpueblaweddingblog04.jpg
I love her tattoo... "To Infinity and beyond!"

pueblaweddingblog05.jpgpueblaweddingblog06.jpg
I am IN LOVE with this photo of Nick my assistant captured:

pueblaweddingblog07.jpg
First Look!

pueblaweddingblog08.jpg
They were just a little happy about getting married... haha.

pueblaweddingblog09.jpg
Waverly Chapel has the most beautiful architecture:

pueblaweddingblog10.jpgpueblaweddingblog11.jpgpueblaweddingblog12.jpgpueblaweddingblog13.jpgpueblaweddingblog14.jpg
Yay, a 'bridesguy'!

pueblaweddingblog15.jpgpueblaweddingblog16.jpg
One of my favorites of the day :)

pueblaweddingblog17.jpg
Jen surprised Nick with an acoustic version of Rihanna's Only Girl that morphed into the original version. She and her dad were so cute dancing up the aisle!

pueblaweddingblog18.jpgpueblaweddingblog19.jpg
Husband and wife!!

pueblaweddingblog20.jpg
Celebrations at Turnip Rose is quite the venue. Jen and Nick wanted it to feel like Vegas... mission accomplished.

pueblaweddingblog21.jpg
My favorite detail of the day... a mariachi band!!!

pueblaweddingblog22.jpg
My favorite photo of the day. I love that we had a little extra time to play with off camera lighting.

pueblaweddingblog23.jpg
Their first dance song was Easy Girl by Coconut Records. Click the slideshow below to hear it :)

pueblaweddingblog24.jpg
In order to keep the party alive they opened the dance floor right away with a couple well chosen songs:

pueblaweddingblog25.jpgpueblaweddingblog26.jpgpueblaweddingblog27.jpgpueblaweddingblog28.jpg
Then it was time for the toasts... my favorite part of weddings :) The bridesmaids had a little surprise up their sleeves:

pueblaweddingblog29.jpg
And Jen had a little surprise up her dress...

pueblaweddingblog30.jpg
I must be getting old... I'd never heard of 'icing' someone before :) Apparently because Nick found a Smirnoff Ice attached to Jen's leg he had to down it immediately. He took it like a champ!

pueblaweddingblog31.jpg
Cheers!

January 4, 2013

Hello! I'm so excited to finally be sharing Jeff and Harmony's wedding with you today :) These two are self proclaimed nerds with a flair for fun and incorporated the cutest details into their day. Keep an eye out for video game references, dice, and lots of math :)

gatesweddingblog01.jpg
Harmony was soooo calm and collected the day of her wedding... an amazing fete when you consider how many DIY projects she had to get done.

gatesweddingblog02.jpg
Their first look :)

gatesweddingblog23.jpg
First dance fanciness:

gatesweddingblog19.jpg
The officiant just happens to be a close friend of Harmony and Jeff.... aaaaaand just happens to be an acrobat.

Pretty. Damn. Amazing.

gatesweddingblog20.jpg
The dance floor was pretty hopping all night...

gatesweddingblog21.jpg
In fact people were so busy dancing they didn't even seem to notice us sneak off for a few bonus photos. I hadn't played with light painting since high school... it was SO fun!
